The section of the wire rod can be circular, oval, rectangular, hexagonal or other shapes.
Its surface is smooth and the nominal measurement, in general, is equal to or greater than 5mm.
Its most common applications are the use in wire drawing processes (small sections) or in cold drawing (larger sections).
