In these five points.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>1.- What is it?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The bill of lading is a standardized document related to maritime transport only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We can compare it with the CMR used in transport by road.<\/p>\n<p>This document, issued by the carrier, establishes the contractual relationship between the shipper, the consignee and the carrier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>2.- What does it mean?<\/h3>\n<p>It is :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><strong>Evidence of the contract of carriage<\/strong>, including the price agreed.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Document of title of goods on<\/strong> board.<\/li>\n<li><b>The<strong> confirmation that the goods have been loaded by the carrier for delivery at the destination agreed to the consignee or to whom has endorsed the bill of lading.<\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Evidence of the status of goods.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>3.- Who are listed?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The shipper.<\/li>\n<li>The carrier.<\/li>\n<li>The exporter.<\/li>\n<li>The consignee of godos.<\/li>\n<li>The contact at the destination port.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>4.- What information must it contain?<\/h3>\n<p>At least, the following data must be included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><strong>The identity<\/strong> \/ address \/ identification <strong>of the carrier, shipper and consignee.<\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n<li><b><strong><b><strong>Identification of the vessel.<\/strong><\/b><\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n<li><b><strong><b><strong><b><strong><strong>Loading and unloading ports.<\/strong><\/strong><\/b><\/strong><\/b><\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>The <strong>description and number of the goods loaded and their status.<\/strong><\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>The freight.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>number of original Bill of lading documents issued.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>place, date and signature of the carrier, agent or Captain of the vessel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>5.- What information must it contain?<\/h3>\n<p>This document is <strong>regulated by the Brussels Convention of 1924, the Visby-Hague rules of 1968 and the Hamburg rules of 1978<\/strong>, mainly.<\/p>\n<p>The different types of bills of lading and their particular specifications as well as their legal implications make it necessary, to deepen this subject, to suggest the following specialized documentation:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\" class=\"dt-btn dt-btn-s\" target=\"_blank\">DOWNLOAD PDF<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>In 2017 revolution projects about maritime transpot are being developed <\/strong>which will mean <strong>crewless or autonomous ships<\/strong>; the main objectives: the reduction of sea transport incidents due to human errors, of costs and of pollutant emissions.<\/p>\n<p>A disruptive change in a traditional world in which the Bill of Lading maintains its position. <strong>From 2015, the bill of lading can be issued electronically<\/strong>; the format on paper will likely disappear over time but the bill of lading will continue to perform its duties in the maritime transport of our shipments of special steels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; More than 80% of the world international transport of goods, including steel, is carried out by sea*, mainly for economic reasons.
