What kind of stainless steels does AUSA work with?<\/h3>\n

AUSA<\/strong> works with different grades of stainless steel<\/strong>. Its properties, applications, chemical composition, equivalent standards, heat treatments and dimensions vary depending of the grade chosen. <\/span><\/p>\n

They are defined as steel alloys with a minimum of 10 % to 12 % chromium <\/strong>content, which may contain other metals such as molybdenum and nickel.<\/p>\n

Steels with high corrosion resistance<\/strong>, as chromium or other alloying metals that have great affinity for the oxygen and react with it creating a protective layer, thus preventing from iron corrosion.<\/p>\n

Their most common applications <\/strong>are for pieces resistant to corrosive agents such as valves, shafts, pump elements, surgical instruments, gauges, steel balls and parts for the chemical, textile and food industries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
