What kind of carbon steels does AUSA work with?<\/h3>\n

AUSA<\/strong> works different grades of carbon steels<\/strong>. The properties, applications, chemical composition, equivalent standards, heat treatments, profiles and dimensions vary depending on the grade chosen.<\/p>\n

Carbon steels <\/strong>contain a carbon percentage of between 0,10-0,60 %<\/strong> with tensile strengths of 350-800 N\/mm2<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Carbon steels <\/strong>with carbon percentages up to 0,30 %<\/strong> are very ductile<\/strong> and have low hardenability<\/strong>. With higher percentages,<\/strong> carbon steels admit quenching<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The wear resistance is low and are weldable<\/strong> depending on the carbon content.<\/p>\n

Their most common<\/strong> applications <\/strong>are for the manufacturing of machines, screws, agricultural tools, bolts, chains and other similar objects.<\/p>\n
